BBC Realize 4 years too late that Gaddafi was good for Libya

When Muammar Gaddafi was toppled in 2011, there were scenes of jubilation in Libya. But Jake Wallis Simons didn’t have to go far in Ghana to find those who have fond memories of the executed Libyan leader, and are still mourning his loss.

One recent Sunday afternoon, amid the yellow dust, sunshine and traffic fumes of Accra, I met a man who told me that Colonel Gaddafi was the messiah.

The man’s name was Karim Mohamed, an ebullient 45-year-old tailor who had spent three years living and working in Libya before the fall of Gaddafi.

He was married with three children, and lived in a six-bedroom house that he had built himself using the money he had earned in Libya.

“In Libya, everybody was happy,” he told me. “In America, there are people sleeping under bridges. In Libya, never. There was no discrimination, no problems, nothing. The work was good and so was the money. My life is all thanks to Gaddafi. He was the messiah of Africa.”

Karim was far from unusual in this part of Ghana. As we talked, two other men sauntered over to join the conversation, and turned out to share his passion for the late Libyan dictator.

Bombing achieves nothing

serveimage

It has not been proved that Syria has anything whatsoever to do with the terrible attacks in Paris the other week. The bombing of Iraq and Libya have proved beyond doubt that bombing achieves nothing but innocent civilian deaths. The west needs to stop arming ISIS as a proxy war against Syria. The proxy war against Syria has caused the refugee crisis and bombing the country can only make the situation much worse. (Forsooth)

Bombing achieves nothing.

To Bomb or not to bomb

dont_bomb_syria_placard_460

I am completely disgusted with our government over whether to bomb Syria over terrorist attacks in Paris the other week.

I do not think that the terrible attacks on innocent civilians in Paris had anything whatsoever to do with Syria. It was yet another false flag event. Our government has been itching to bomb Syria for a couple of years now. It’s all part of a big plan to completely destroy the Middle East, to leave the once sovereign countries completely shattered. Do our governments not learn from their past experiences that you cannot control or expect regime change in sovereign countries? No country is governed by a perfect leader there are always problems with humans wanting to control others on this planet. But the people ultimately have the say over their future not some other controlling force that thinks it is better. This is very arrogant, way beyond arrogant.

Libya and Iraq are totally destroyed and Syria could to be next. When this is done Iran is still on their list.

The real reason for these terrorist attacks is to take away more of our freedom. So it is not too difficult to consider that the attacks were carefully planning to play right into the hands of those that want to control us. This is more frightening than some fundamentalists wanting revenge for our government’s foreign policy. Why do the terror attacks not target the politicians but instead kill innocent civilians that have absolutely no power to influence what their government is up to. I do not think that those in real control have any empathy whatsoever for the feelings of the people. They will do whatever it takes to get what they want. We live in a very dangerous time.

ISIS was created by the west to fight its proxy war with Syria and when Russia steps in to destroy ISIS the west gets upset. Now the west has lost its tool in Syria which has been decimated and now they need to go in themselves to do the job.

There are many levels of war. Ruling elites want to control the world’s population, The Middle east has to be destroyed and all counties brought into a single world government. At the end of it all we will have no freedom under a tyranny.

This may seem farfetched but if you stand back and take a long hard look at the way the planet is run and the history of how we got to this it starts to become clearer. We need to take back our power, only the people can make a difference, do not give your power away to some ruling elites, they will not help they will only help themselves. (Forsooth)
